Description/Duties :
|
The University of Vermont is seeking a talented, well-rounded crisis clinician to join our dynamic Counseling and Psychiatry Services team in the Center for Health and Wellbeing. The Counseling Center is staffed by a multidisciplinary group of clinical mental health professionals in two campus offices and is a department within the integrated Center for Health and Wellbeing, which also includes the Student Health Services, Women¡¦s Health, Athletic Medicine and Health Promotion services.
Primary Responsibilities: Provide brief urgent care, assessment, screening and referral services for high-need and high-risk clients through in-person and telephone contact. Provide case management and referrals of students to UVM and community support services. Screen initial calls to Psychiatry services.

Required Skills :
|
|
Qualifications:
č Masters degree in Counseling, Social Work or Psychology.
č Licensed or license-eligible in Vermont as a Psychologist-Master, Mental Health Counselor or Clinical Social Worker.
č Experience working with college-age issues, preferably within a university-based system. (highly desirable)
č Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusiveness
č Ability to multi task and manage fast pace of crisis work within clinical setting
č Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to function as team member
This is a 10-month full-time position. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience, and includes a generous benefit package.
