The Overseas Press Club sponsors two student internships per academic

semester - two in the autumn from September to December, two in the spring from January through April and another two during the summer months, May through August.

The internships are granted on a "for credit" basis and are without salary. Interns are expected to devote 16 hours per week - roughly two working days - to club business and will generally work at the Overseas Press Club offices at 40 West 45 Street in New York.

The internship program is open to all students currently enrolled in four-year accredited university programs concentrating in journalism, mass communications or other related fields. Graduate students will be heavily favored. Those accepted into the program will need to obtain a letter of sponsorship from a member of the university faculty on university letterhead, which will be required before the internship commences.

OPC internships will seek to offer an opportunity to participate in all facets of the Club's endeavors, from defending the rights of journalists abroad, helping organize the prestigious Overseas Press Club awards competition, reporting on club events for our in-house organ, The Bulletin, and helping to write, edit and publish the OPC's website.
