The University of Iowa College of Education is pleased to announce the

availability of a two-year diversity postdoctoral research scholar appointment to begin August 2006. The purpose of the postdoctoral program is to develop diverse population scholars for careers in college/university research and training. The selected scholar will serve as a full-time researcher in collaborat with a faculty mentor(s). Opportunities are available for teaching experience, as desired. Departments in the College of Education include

Counseling, Rehabilitation and Student Development; Teaching and Learning; Educational Policy and Leadership Studies (Educational Administration, Higher Education, Social Foundations); and Psychological and Quantitative Foundations (Educational Measurement and Statistics, School Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Educational Psychology). Eligibility: Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. and have completed the doctoral degree within the past two years or no later than summer 2006.

Salary: Salary for the academic year is competitive. Additional funds will be available for travel and research-related expenses. Additional funding for summer appointment may be possible. Fringe benefits suited to the individual's needs are also available.
