Financial Aid Information

The HACU Laureate International Scholarship Program was created in response to one of the most substantial barriers preventing US students from studying abroad: lack of financial resources. The Program is committed to helping to make study abroad as affordable as possible for as many students as possible. While the program provides generous tuition scholarships to participants, many students still need additional financial assistance.

There are so many benefits to studying abroad: Opening your eyes to a new culture and way of life, making new friends, and traveling to a unique location. But one of the best parts of the program is that you can usually transfer credits to your home institution.

You must be a student attending one of HACU's member institutions in the U.S. or Puerto Rico (go to www.hacu.net to see if your institution is a member) and possess a minimum of a 2.7/4.0 GPA. (exceptions can be made).

Each HACU member institution can award up to 17 scholarships (one for each program location) for semester and year study at Laureate International Universities in Spain, France, Switzerland, Cyprus, Ecuador, Chile, Brazil, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru and Honduras.
